Private tutor in Everett, WA
Education
Bachelor of Arts, Political Science, Duke University, 1994 Certificate in Editing at University of Washington, 2011
Experience
I am a copywriter and copyeditor by trade. I write for a lifestyle magazine, and I have to submit 2500 word articles per month. I used to be in Advertising in New York--A Senior Account Executive My studies in Editing give me a big leg up in my ability to teach the art and science of writing for an audience. I believe my multidisciplinary background in writing for academia, in marketing and advertising copy, and my current work at the magazine gives me a unique value as a tutor. I want to share what I know. When at Duke, I tutored gentlemen who were on the men's Basketball team. My friends and I also put together a campus newspaper for which I wrote a lot of Duke related stories.

Hobbies
Good Day! My name is David and I am a 42 year old fellow who's primary job is as a writer for a magazine. However, I do it out of passion, not for pay. I have real-world experience in how to write most any kind of piece; therefore, I have something to offer as a tutor. I live out on the Tulalip Indian Reservation and enjoy beautiful natural surroundings. I have many good friends; we all live respectable lives. My father is aging and I try to spend every evening with him helping him around the house and with cooking. He and I are very close. I can respond to most types of personalities, especially those with ADD, as I suffer from it as well. I have also known many ADHD people who often have very unique ways of learning that must be figured out and adjusted for. I also live with my cat who now thinks he owns the place. He keeps me grounded and sane. I am a friendly guy who works well with all kinds of personalities, as long as they are willing to put forth some effort in their studies.
