I have followed my passion for education for the past decade, serving as a teacher, a substitute teacher, and now as a tutor. I am certified to teach both history and English, which were also the areas I studied while working toward my bachelor's degree from Hastings College. History in particular holds a great fascination for me. I see it as the subject that links all other subjects together. Not only can you follow the personal stories of mathematicians, scientists, writers, and artists through history, but you can also see the impact their academic area had on the world for the centuries that followed. As a tutor and teacher, I can work with students who struggle in reading comprehension, writing and editing skills, literature, geography, social studies, and American and European history. I also enjoy helping students who want to improve their college admissions essays. When I help students improve their writing skills, I make the process a series of clear, easy to follow steps, so the student can replicate that process throughout their academic career. When I'm not educating future generations, I like to seek out interesting and exciting experiences, especially with my friends, family, and wife. I also love watching football!
